Big Agnes upped the ante on its Copper Spur HV UL2 tent with stronger, lighter materials and new features. Carried over are the 3D bin “mezzanine” for storage off the floor and big ceiling pockets for storing gear and media devices. It has two doors and two “awning-style” vestibules to add to the covered space, protecting from the sun or rain.
It comes with corner hardware for securing it with poles, adding a rainfly, and staking it out. Reflective guylines help keep the walls taut. All the seams are taped with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape to maintain protection from the elements, the brand says.

The latest Storm runs on AAA alkaline batteries or the BD 1500 lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The white LED puts out 450 lumens on the max setting, 224 on medium, and a chill 6 lumens on low. This headlamp’s other modes include dimming, strobe, red, green, and blue night vision.
It locks to avoid accidentally running down the light, and it also has a brightness memory function that lets you pick up where you left off, so to speak.
